The Student Information window is typical of the 5 information windows in KIDMAP.
The Enrolled Strands panel shown here is again a typical panel, where you can Enrol a Student in a given strand by dragging it from the All Strands list across to the Enrolled Strands list or by clicking the Add button. Over the years, I've used similar interfaces and found different people tend to use buttons or dragging almost exclusively. Some people like the tactile dynamics of dragging items, others prefer command buttons (and key shortcuts).
Double-clicking on any item in the list will drill-down to display information. This web-like interface was designed in the early days of the web, anticipating that Teachers would experience web interfaces if nothing much else. This expectation proved to be true and the drill-down idiom extremely popular. Note the Back button in the bottom right corner of the screen, instead of the traditional Close.
